Tirana welcomes “Creative Industries” regional conference on 23-24 October

Slovak and Albanian creative industries experts will host a two-day conference in Tirana on 23-24 October bringing some of the best experiences in Slovakia this sector to Albania.
The conference itself is organized by SOVVA with the support SlovakAid, CIVITTA, ICTSlab, Polis University and Ivanaj Foundation.
The two-day conference will be packed with exclusive presentations, discussions and consultations designed to help and drive a new inovative future for Creative Industries sector in Albania like marketing, architecture, art, fashion, design, IT and media which are considered as hidden jewels of a creative and innovative community.
This sector alone doubled its contribution in EU GDP from 2.6% in 2005 to 5.3% in 2015.
Tirana Mayor Mr. Erion Veliaj, Slovak Ambassador to Albania Mr. Peter Spisiak, Director of Slovak Agency for International Development Cooperation Ms. Lucia Kiss, Director of SOVVA Mr. Daniel Straka and Managing Director of ICTmedia and co-founder of ICT Awards Mr. Kushtrim Shala will be joining this conference.
In a time when globalization is happening with great pace, many countries have accepted narrative of combining culture and commerce that creative industries represent, as a force that brings revenue, new jobs, exports and also help in social inclusion, cultural diversity and human development.

This conference comes after a meeting held on May at ICTSlab with the participation of Slovak creative industries experts. The 1-year project started on December 2018 at Shkodra where the First Creative Academy took place.
